Goodbye 2020: Daily Brief

The year in fighting for our rights; the final days of the Trump administration; some good news from Nigeria; Italy's flawed program for migrant regularization; Russia bombing schools and hospitals in Syria; fighting poverty in the UK; and ending sexual violence against women in south Asia.

2020 was a difficult year for many of us, but amid the gloom there were some brights spots, when people stood up for their rights.

There's some welcome news from Nigeria.

An Italian program to provide undocumented migrants with a pathway to residency adopted amid the Covid-19 pandemic did not live up to its promise.

Why are Russians paying for bombing schools and hospitals in Syria?

UK football fans are fighting poverty in the UK...

South Asian governments should disregard populist death penalty rhetoric and listen to their own experts to prevent and end sexual violence against women.

That's it for the Daily Brief for this year. We'll be back in 2021!
